JVJ Performance Horses is really excited about showing at the APHA world show. We have also add several new webrings that we have joined.
As we mentioned earlier, Peppys Sweet Speck is an NRHA money earner as well as being the Hi-Point Junior horse at the May FCCRA horse show. He is so talented and we are so happy with him.

APHA World Show

JVJ Performance Horses is having another first. We are going to the Paint World Show with Peppys Sweet Speck. Shawn and Lisa went to the world show last year and had a booth with EQ Solutions products, but this will be a first for both Shawn and "Boots" at the World Show in competition. They will be showing in Junior Reining. Boots is a really talented young horse and we have high hopes for him, we put him on cattle for the first time last week and he took right to it. We hope to show him next year in the Jr. Working Cow Horse.

Santa Fe, NM NRHA Show

JVJ Performance Horses is again proud to announce that Shawn Layton, our resident trainer, has had a great Saturday showing. He was in Santa Fe, NM Saturday morning at the NMRHA Frankies Spin & Win show and took a 4th in both the intermediate open and limited open classes on Peppys Sweet Speck, our 3 year old APHA stallion. This was his 1st NRHA approved show and he is a money earner, not sure how much yet, but money earned is money earned. Check out "Boots" on the Performance Horses page on our website.

Shawn then was back in Farmington on Saturday afternoon and showed Chief Dry Doc again in the senior reining at the June 11th AQHA show and took a 2nd. His run Saturday was nicer than Friday, but it was a different judge and that is what showing is all about. There is a lot of personal opinion in judging.
